TinaKristina grew up in a family with generations of musicians and painting artists. She has been playing bass and performing for 26 years in NYC and on stages such as the CBGB's, Bitter End, Lincoln Center, and the Odean, kicking all musical styles including Blues, Impro-Jazz, Rock, World, and Avant-Garde. 

Originally from Russian/Indian gypsy family band "The Black Mama Dharma Band', where she started playing bass at the age of 8, with band members consisting of brother Glenn on Drums, sister Gayatri on Didgeridoo, mother Gulnora on Trumpet & father and founder of BMDB Dimitri Gusev, renowned Blues Musician and filmmaker. 

TinaKristina has performed with many great musicians like Jimmy Heath (Miles Davis), Giovanni Hidalgo (Dizzy Gillespie) and John Taylor (Duran Duran), where she played a leading role in Taylor's music video "Feelings Are Good",  she has toured world wide and performed at many festivals including the 45th Montreux Jazz Festival alongside Ladell McLin, Greg Lewis, Swiss Chris, John Mclaughlin, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and others. TinaKristina was also a Ford Model. She has performed in various Radio & TV shows, such as VH1, hosted by Joey Ramone.
